"More Bad Judges"

Jack Newfield of The Nation has a piece about the Bush administration's latest crop of federal judicial nominees. Needless to say, he does not approve, concluding:
Bush is trying to transform America through lifetime judicial appointments for this biased batch and their clones. The bottom line is that the reckless Bushies are willing to violate computer privacy and vandalize the Bill of Rights to expedite this transformation. George W. Bush was appointed President by the Supreme Court after losing the popular vote by more than 500,000. Now he is trying to use the courts to legislate a mandate the voters never gave him by abusing the power of appointment and ignoring the Constitution's "advise and consent" clause.

There are some marriages where there is an abused and an abuser. When you find yourself with a never ending flow of drugs and strange penises in your wife you leave. If some judge takes the side of and abuser it twists you somehow against the system. You just lost some sympathy with your judgementalism, but I guess I can forgive you because I know what its like to live in fear of a powerful and unstable individual, but in my case it was a judge, think that over.

I would like to know how to rise above the unjustified orders handed down by a judge who flat refused to listen to anything one of the parties had to say?
*******
Control what you can - use the system, accept the reality of the situation and do what you can to salvage what's left.. Don't forget that the judge wouldn't be handing out unfair orders if the recipient had been dealing with the issue in the first place.

It is frustrating enough to have to actually live through the hell, but then to read things that basicly tell them to get over it, tends to feel like another kick in the head.
As sad as it is, the fact there is somewhere for people to 'talk about' what they have lived through... might just keep another murder from happening.

But that's the thing - learning to deal with it, 'get over it' IS talking about it. And if you just continually blame others, commiserate about how unfairly you were treated, it's not doing a lisk of good to talk about it.
My Husband has essentially lost his Daughter. He was handed unfair orders, fought tooth and nail for HIS rights to his daughter and she got stuck in the middle. The emotional toll it took on the child in the middle wasn't worth fighting over the unfair orders or rights. He controlled what he could, took what he was dealt and he's making the best of it. It sucks. It's unfair, but it's a chance he took when he walked away from his adulterous XW. It is what it is and he's dealing with it.

Stop fighting over them and money and your anger toward your ex.

How do you explain to a child that everything they have been told about you is not true? No matter what the circumstances... that bell can not be un-rung.*********
You don't.. you let them learn for themselves. They KNOW better and the parent doing all of the smearing, involving in adult matters, etc., really is only hurting him/herself. It sucks, it's hard, but it is what it is and many parents react to the other parent and unknowingly, unintentionally make themselves look bad.
It's a vicious cycle and the only people who can break it are the people DOING IT.
Now who is calling the names here? Calling me stupid. What a concept. Think about that you just posted here. Let's see, I'm not the one in court, facing a judge, accusing my spouse of committing horrible things, or vice versa. My family is together. My children are happy and intelligent individuals. They are not perfect. Nor am I. I have sacrificed a lot to keep my family together. I could have run off with someone else, but what for? My children mean everything to me, guess that makes me stupid?
YOu just don't get it, do you?
There is nowhere to go in our country when the FBI and DOJ have been given extensive proof of massive corruption in Sarasota County, Florida, but they don't take the time to hear or investigate this in any way.
Soon after this, I read online that the County Court kept Tony Martini's property, that his billion dollar company was stolen, and that the Police won't investigate Steven Esdales' fathers' death of Murray Cohen, and that his property was stamped through the Court, I wrote an e-mail to him about my situation and many others here, and right after we both discovered that we were dealing with, and complaining about the same Court Reporting Agency and Reporter, that's when his computer and phone records were being confiscated by the government, and then my computer was hacked into, and I believe my phone as well.
This country is very dangerous when people who are requesting obviously needed investigations, but are instead, treated like criminals, disrespected and completely ignored, so that the Governor can have the media write that crime has gone down, when really, crime is not being pursued in any way here.
Don't blow smoke up my ass, bud.
Interesting article! It clearly shows that Judge Weller acted appropriately in his rulings in regards to the Macks divorce.
Considering his wealth, Darren Mack got off light, having to give Charla $480,000 for the purchase of a car and home, and $500,000 to be paid in monthly payments for 5 years. Again, considering Darren Mack's wealth, the settlement amount was not exorbitant.
The Macks had reached a settlement in January, but at the time of the hearing in May, that settlement was in disarray due to side issues. Judge Weller tried to have the parties negotiate these side issues so the final settlement could be made. When they failed to do so, he simple ruled that the settlement they had already agreed upon in January be made the final settlement, subject to appeal to the state supreme court.
It would appear that Judge Weller was following the law in this case.
