    Justice Souter Assaulted, But 'Fine'

U.S. Supreme Court Justice David Souter was assaulted while jogging and sustained minor injuries, a court spokesman said on Saturday.

He said Souter, 64, was taken to a local hospital after being attacked by several men late on Friday. He was released after an examination and was now "feeling fine," the spokesman said. He gave no details on the assault.

Details (though not many) here from Reuters via ABCNews.com.

Justice David was simply jogging around his neighborhood. His attackers were (are) clueless dope-fiends bent on disrupting the social contract David has been tirelessly promoting. Souter is my favorite Supreme and my kids regard him highly. His noting of 2-Live Crew's "heavy bass-riff" during S.C. procedings speaks well of his intellectual curiosity & even-tempered approach toward copywrite-infringement law. I (and my kids) wish him a speedy recovery.
